MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR AMENDING PAYMENT OF RESEARCH AND REGULATION FEES



In consonance with the power and authority vested in the National Tobacco Administration (NTA) to regulate the tobacco industry, the collection of Research and Regulation Fees is hereby amended, pursuant to Board Resolution No. 078, s. 2005, as follows:

                       
A. Research and Regulation Fee for All Tobacco Leaf
  Buyers/Traders/Suppliers/ Wholesale Tobacco Dealers		Additional PhP 0.10 to the present PhP0.30, per kilo, green
  weight, of all tobacco types purchased from the tobacco farmers
  
B. Competitiveness Enhancement Fee (Additional Research and
  Regulations Fee) for Domestic Cigar/Cigarette Manufacturers		PhP 0.60 per kilo, green weight, of all types of tobacco delivered
  to them by the Tobacco Suppliers/ Wholesale Tobacco Dealers.

Repealing Clause - This Circular supersedes all other orders and/or circulars issued inconsistent herewith.

Effectivity - This Circular shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the publication in one (1) newspaper of general circulation and filling with the Office of the National Administrative Register (ONAR), UP Law Center.
