[ SRA ORDER NO. 3-A, November 08, 2000 ]

ADDENDUM TO SUGAR ORDER NO. 3, S. 2000-2001, RE: FILING UP OF THE U.S. QUOTA YEAR 2000-2001



WHEREAS, there is a need to include certain provisions to Sugar Order No. 3, Series of 2000-2001, dated 26 September 2000, for expeditious shipment of raw sugar to the United States of America.

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1.        Section 3 of Sugar Order No. 3, Series of 2000-2001 shall include the following:

"SECTION 3.     A Letter of Advice shall be sent to the concerned exporters requiring the same to apply with the SRA for export clearances with all the requirements attached thereto within five (5) days upon receipt of the said advice.

Failure of the concerned exporters to apply for export clearances within the aforementioned period, the SRA shall be constrained to allow the exporters of the next quarter to fill up the remaining balance of the current quarter on a "first-come, first-served" basis."

SECTION 2.        This Order shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 3.        Other provisions of the aforesaid Sugar Order No. 3 shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 4.        Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, Memoranda and/or other rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order are hereby amended, modified or revoked.
