[ SRA SUGAR ORDER NO. 4A, S. 2004-2005, November 09, 2004 ]

AMENDMENT TO SUGAR ORDER NO. 4, SERIES OF 2004-2005 RE: PROVIDING FOR "C" OR RESERVE SUGAR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES



WHEREAS, there is a need to amend Section 9 of Sugar Order No. 4, Series of 2004-2005, dated 28 October 2004 which provides that the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) shall undertake the reclassification guidelines of the "C" or reserve sugar into "B" or Domestic sugar;

WHEREAS, after consultation with all sectors concerned, it has been agreed upon that a maturity date shall be included in the reclassification of "C" or reserve sugar into "B" or Domestic sugar;

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA), it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1. Section 9 of Sugar Order No. 4, Series of 2004-2005 is hereby amended to read as follows:

"Section 9. Reclassification of "C" Sugar.  The "C" sugar shall be reclassified as "B" or Domestic sugar, to the exclusion of any other class of sugar, and shall be released to the domestic market after Twenty One (21) weeks (147 days) from the date of the week-ending period indicated in the covering "C" quedans or should the prevailing/average millgate price of the "B" or Domestic sugar has gone up to more than PHP800.00/LKg-bag net, whichever comes first."

SECTION 2. This Order shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 3. Other provisions of the aforesaid Sugar Order No. 4, Series of 2004-2005 shall remain in full force and effect.

SECTION 4. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, Memoranda and/or other rules and regulations contrary to or inconsistent with this Sugar Order are hereby amended, modified or revoked.
