INTERIM INCREASE IN FOREIGN CARGO HANDLING CHARGES



SECTION 1.       Rate of Interim Increase — Pursuant to CPA Board Resolution no. 303-98 of the Cebu Port Commission, dated 17 July 1998, the Oriental Port and Allied Services Corporation (OPASCOR) is hereby granted an interim increase of 21.6% of the existing foreign cargo handling charges per Schedule of Restructured Cargo Handling Tariff (For Import and Export Cargoes) attached hereto as Annex “A” * .

SECTION 2.       Compliance with Minimum Wage — This interim increase is granted conditioned on the compliance by OPASCOR with the minimum wage laws and in order to address the labor adjustment for the labor portion of its operations.

SECTION 3.       Repealing Clause — All previous issuances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed, amended or modified accordingly.

SECTION 4.       Effectivity — This circular shall be published twice (once a week) and shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its last publication.
