AMENDMENT TO DECS ORDERS 62 AND 69, S. 1997 RE APPROVED TEXTBOOKS AND TEACHER’S MANUAL FOR USE IN PUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS
1. Technical Specifications — The revised technical specifications of all approved textbooks and teacher’s manuals (i.e., those contained in DECS Order 62 and 69, s. 1997 as well as in the CY 1998 DECS Catalogue of Approved Textbooks and Teacher’s Manuals) to be purchased using government funds are contained in Annex 1* of this DECS Order. The revised specifications are to be followed for all DECS textbooks and teacher’s manual orders to said materials made starting December 1997.
2. Correct Titles of Textbooks and Teacher’s Manuals — Please be informed that certain titles of textbooks and teacher’s manuals also included in DECS Order 62 and 69, s. 1997 and in the CY 1998 DECS Catalogue have to be corrected. The original and correct titles of these materials are included in Annex 2* of this DECS Order. So as not to unduly disrupt the on-going book selection and ordering process of DECS Offices it is understood that the original and/or correct titles of these materials shall be treated as one and the same until further notice. Publishers owning these titles must fulfill all orders made by DECS regardless of whether the original or correct titles were used.
3. Also, please be informed that ownership of the copyright of the approved textbook and teacher’s manual entitled “Learn and Enjoy Mathematics 2” (Set No. 54), page 3 of the Attachment to DECS Order 62, s. 1997 and also in page 27 of the CY 1998 DECS Catalogue of Approved Textbooks and Teacher’s Manuals has been transferred from Tividad Publisher to Ricsons Enterprises effective November 11, 1997. All Orders of said textbook and teacher’s manuals should therefore be addressed to Ricsons Enterprises whose office address is at 277 10th Avenue, Grace Park, Caloocan City.
4. It is desired that this DECS Order be disseminated to all concerned as soon as possible.
