ADDITIONAL PROVISION TO SECTION 6 OF DOST ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 006, SERIES OF 2000 RE: GUIDELINES ON THE AVAILMENT OF BENEFITS UNDER R.A. NO. 8439 (MAGNA CARTA FOR SCIENTISTS, ENGINEERS, RESEARCHERS AND SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY PERSONNEL IN GOVERNMENT) FOR S & T PERSONNEL NOT EMPLOYED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY



The following additional provision to Section 6 of DOST Administrative Order No. 006, Series of 2000, as amended by DOST Administrative Order No. 010 Series of 2001, is hereby adopted prescribing the documentary requirements for Scientists belonging to the Scientific Career System in the availment of benefits under R.A. No. 8439 as follows:

“For those with Scientist ranks conferred under the Scientific Career System, the following requirements shall be submitted:

a. endorsement by head of department/agency

b. functions of service/division/section/unit where the personnel belongs

c. copy of appointment as Scientist certified by the Scientific Career Council

d. certification of good standing issued by the Scientific Career Council

e. description of position and functions

f. other relevant documents that may be required by the DOST Committee”

All other provisions of DOST Administrative Orders No. 006, series of 2000, as amended, shall remain valid.
