AMENDING ITEM 24, ARTICLE II OF PPA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 03-95: IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES ON THE PROPER ASSESSMENT AND COLLECTION OF THE 1994 PPA PORT TARIFF RATES
Pursuant to Sections 2 (f) and 20 of PD 857 (as amended) and in order to ensure the proper assessment and collection of the new port charges under PPA Memorandum Circular No. 07-94, Item 24, Article II (Definition of Terms) of PPA MC 03-95, is hereby amended to read as follows:
"24. Revenue Ton or Tonnage shall mean one (1) cubic meter or one (1) metric ton (1,000 kilograms), whichever yields the greater amount of revenue."
This definition, consistent with the System Internationale, shall apply to all previously issued documentation in respect to the Terms and Conditions of Cargo Handling Tariffs and Contracts and further amends all other PPA issuances insofar as the definition of Revenue Ton or Tonnage is concerned.
