[ DOST ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 001, S. 2009, January 29, 2009 ]

AMENDMENTS TO DOST ADMINISTRATIVE ORDERS NO. 005, SERIES OF 2007 AND NO. 008, SERIES OF 2007



The amendments to Administrative Orders No. 005, Series of 2007 and No. 008, Series of 2007 are hereby prescribed as follows:

1. Whereas, under Article IV-Definitions of DOST Administrative Order No. 005, Series of 2007, an additional definition of term is hereby included to read as follows:

“Filing of Application shall refer to any submission of letter of intent or application form within the prescribed period of six (6) months upon arrival with the condition that all other required documents must be completed within 15 days after the end of the sixth month. If the last day for filing falls on either a Saturday or Sunday or Holiday, the deadline for the filing of application should be the next working day.”

2. Whereas, under Section 2, Article XII-Limitation of the Award of DOST Administrative Order No. 005, series of 2007, the provision below is hereby added:

“In case change in the contract period (Whether extension or shortening) is within the existing guidelines, this shall be approved by the Secretary based on the favorable endorsement of the concerned council.”

3. Whereas, Section 2.3 of DOST Administrative Order No. 008, series of 2007 is hereby deleted and Section 4.0 under the same Order is hereby amended to read as follows:

“4.0 Entitlement

Filipino Scientists who are qualified to avail of this Program shall be entitled to the following incentives/benefits, subject to the approval of the Secretary:

4.1 xxx

4.2 A Daily Subsistence Allowance in the amount of US $150.00 per day or as may be recommended by DOST EXECOM and approved by the Secretary.”

This Order shall take effect immediately and shall supersede all other Orders and other issuance inconsistent thereof.
