GUIDELINES ON THE ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS FOR TOURIST CAR (TC) SERVICES



In order to upgrade the quality of tourist car services, consistent with the Memorandum of Agreement among the Department of Tourist (DOT), Land Transportation Office (LTO), and this Board (LTFRB), the following guidelines shall be observed in the acceptance of applications for franchises to operate tourist car services, to wit:

1. The application must be accompanied by a letter of accreditation from the DOT;

2. The unit/s proposed for operation shall not be more than five (5) years old reckoned from year of manufacture to be determined by the DOT.

3. Each operator must have at least three (3) units.

This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days after the filing of three (3) copies hereof with the U.P. Law Center, in accordance with Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11, dated October 9, 1992.
