ATTENDANCE IN LICENSING SEMINARS AS A REQUIREMENT IN THE APPLICATION FOR A LICENSE TO OPERATE OF A DRUG ESTABLISHMENT/DRUG OUTLET (AO 56. s. 1989)



One of the requirements in the application for a License to Operate (LTO) of a Drug Establishment/Drug Outlet under Administrative Order No. 56 s. 1989 is the submission of a certificate of attendance in a BFAD-sponsored/accredited seminar on licensing of drug establishments/outlets.

In line with said requirement, Certificate of Attendance in all seminars on Continuing Professional Education (CPE) conducted by the Philippine Pharmaceutical Association (PPhA) or by any of its chapter where lectures on AO 56, s. 1989 particularly on licensing of drug establishments/outlets are provided by Food and Drug Regulation Officers (FDROs) of BFAD shall be considered substantial and sufficient compliance, provided, that the Certificates of Attendance bear the signatures of the regional FDROs who conducted the seminar.

The PPhA should coordinate with the BFAD-Regulation Division I to ensure proper and effective coordination and wider dissemination of PPhA scheduled seminars.

This Bureau Circular shall take effect immediately.
