[ NTC MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 11-8-96, August 15, 1996 ]

SUSPENSION OF APPLICATION FOR NEW RADIO SERVICE CENTER, DEALER AND MANUFACTURER



In view of the need to review existing rules and regulations affecting the buy and sale, service and manufacture of radio communications equipment, the application for new radio service center, dealer and manufacturer is hereby temporarily suspended in order to address the following:

a. The categorization of Radio Service Centers, Dealers and Manufacturers pursuant to Sec. 4 of Memorandum Circular No. 2-05-88.

b. The continued entry of non-type accepted and unauthorized importation of equipments.

c. The illegal sale, use and operation of non-type accepted and non-registered radio equipments and,

d. Proliferation of fly-by-night radio dealers.

The Radio regulations and Licensing Department (RRLD) shall continue to monitor directly or thorugh the Regional Offices the implementation of this Circular and that of MC 2-05-88, and to undertake measures and recommendations in addressing the foregoing matter. This Temporary suspension shall be automatically lifted upon issuance of remedial measures or within six (6) from effectivity date of this circular, whichever comes earlier.

This Circular supersedes any order, circular, memorandum and instruction or part thereof which is inconsistent herewith.
