WHEREFORE, the Board RESOLVED as it hereby RESOLVES to suspend the implementation of the provisions of Section 26(a), Rule V, of Resolution No. 03, s. 1997 insofar as the subjects and their weighted average are concerned until the first graduates of the six-year course in Optometry shall take the licensure examination for optometrists as well as the provisions of Resolution No. 04, s. 1997.

The implementation of the provisions of Section 32, Rule VI, of Resolution No. 03, s. 1997 are likewise suspended until sufficient number of optometrists have completed the special course in pharmacology and are ready to take the Special Certification Examination for the use of Specific Diagnostic Pharmaceutical Agents.

The subjects for licensure examination provided in Resolution No. 07 s. 1994, implementing R.A. No. 1998 shall be used in the forthcoming licensure examination for optometrists, until the first graduates of the six-year course in Optometry shall qualify under Section 19(c) of R.A. No. 8050.

Let copies of this Resolution be furnished to schools, colleges and universities, public and private, offering a regular course in optometry for dissemination to their students and graduates.
