[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 60, July 09, 1992 ]

REINSTATEMENT OF VERIFICATION AND AUTHENTICATION OF EMPLOYMENT DOCUMENTS OF FEMALE SERVICE WORKERS IN OMAN AND QATAR



In view of the opening of Philippine Diplomatic posts in Oman and Qatar and in order to fully protect the welfare of Filipino workers, the verification and authentication by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate of employment documents of female service workers (i.e. household worker, cook, babysitter/nanny, tutor, governess, salesgirl, sewer, seamstress, nursing home aid and other similar skills as may be determined by POEA) as a requirement for accreditation of principals of workers bound for the abovementioned countries is hereby reinstated.

The following documents required of agencies and entities shall require authentication/verification by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in said countries:

1.Accreditation of Principals/Projects

1.a. Manpower Request indicating worker's salary

2.Processing of Employment Documents

a. For Individual/Name Hiring
a.1.Individual Employment Contract signed by the employer and the worker
b. For Job Orders of Accredited Principals

The No Objection Certificate (NOC) required for processing of job orders of accredited principals shall be duly verified by the Philippine Embassy/Consulate.

This Memorandum Circular supersedes all previous issuances inconsistent herewith.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
