REIMPOSITION OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS ON SUGAR IMPORTED BY THE MANUFACTURERS OF SUGAR BASED PRODUCTS FOR EXPORTS



WHEREAS, Sugar Order No. 11, Series of 1996-1997 totally revoked Sugar Order No. 8, Series of 1995-1996 which provided for the rules and regulations on sugar imported by manufacturers of sugar based products for exports;

WHEREAS, there is a need to reimpose Sugar Order No. 8, Series of 1995-1996 in order that the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) shall be able to completely monitor the flow of sugar from all sources, whether domestic or foreign in addition to the attainment of the purposes for which said Sugar Order No. 6 Series of 1995-1996 was promulgated.

NOW, THEREFORE, under and by virtue of the authority vested in the Sugar Regulatory Administration, it is hereby ordered that:

SECTION 1. Sugar Order No. 8, Series of 1995-1996 and its related implementing guidelines, Circular Letter No. 33, Series of 1995-1996 are hereby reviewed and reimposed in their totality;

SECTION 2. This Sugar Order shall take effect immediately.

SECTION 3. Provisions of Sugar Orders, Circular Letters, Rules and Regulations inconsistent with or contrary to this Sugar Order are hereby revoked, amended or modified accordingly.
