RECURRENCY TRAINING PROGRAM FOR MASTERS AND CHIEF MATES ONBOARD SHIPS ENGAGED IN THE DOMESTIC TRADE



In order to further improve the safety of life at sea and promote the protection of marine environment, all Masters and Chief Mates onboard Philippine-flagged ships engaged in domestic trade shall undergo a recurrency training on safe navigation.

The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA), as Flag State Administration, pursuant to Presidential Decree No. 474 and Executive Order No. 125, as amended is hereby directed to develop a training program to be administered to all such officers.  Likewise, MARINA shall prescribe the necessary rules and regulations that will ensure proper implementation and enforcement of this Department Order.

All orders, issuances and memoranda which are inconsistent with this Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.
