VEHICLES WITH TINTED GLASS



Complaints have been received in this Office against public utility vehicles with tinted glass, which conceivably serve as temptations for would be hold-uppers and harassers of passengers.

The use of tinted glasses in public utility vehicles is prohibited under Sec. 37 of MC 89-109 and punishable with fine of P300.00. In this connection therefore tinted glasses in jeepneys and taxis shall be removed before approval of the inspection in the MVIS. Enforcers shall apprehend taxis and jeepneys sporting tinted glasses and appropriate penalties shall be imposed upon adjudication.
