[ DA MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 10, S. 2004, February 13, 2004 ]

AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 21, SERIES OF 2003 RE: GUIDELINES IN THE COLLECTION OF FEES ON IMPORTED MEAT AND MEAT PRODUCTS



In pursuance to Memorandum Order No. 21, Series of 2003, otherwise known as the "Guidelines in the Collection of Fees on Imported Meat and Meat Products" , the following provisions are hereby amended for the information and guidance of all concerned, to wit:

A. Importers/Brokers

2. That the importer/broker shall pay/settle their accounts directly to DA-NMIC Designated Regional Collecting Officer, instead of payment to NMIC Central Office or NMIC Regional Offices prior to the release of their products at the ports of entry (Amended Provision).

C. Veterinary Quarantine Officers

1.  That the Veterinary Quarantine Officer (VQO) shall assist the DA-NMIC Designated Regional Collecting Officer assigned at the ports of entry in determining the volume of imports and total amount of the inspection fee on all imported meat and meat products.  Further, the VQO shall provide a copy of Bill of Lading or International Veterinary Health Certificate to DA-NMIC Designated Regional Collecting Officer as a requirement for accounting and audit purposes (Added Provision).

All Orders, Rules and Regulations which are inconsistent with the provision of this Order are hereby repealed or modified accordingly.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
