ADDITIONAL PROVISION FOR OFFICERS AND RATINGS ON THE STANDARD EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT FOR SEAFARERS
Further to Department Order No. 33, Series of 1996 on the Revised Employment Terms and Conditions governing the employment of Filipino Seafarers on board ocean going vessels, the following provision is hereby incorporated in Section II as Item C, effective immediately:
"Overtime work for officers shall be computed based on the fixed overtime rate. For ratings, overtime work shall be computed based on the guaranteed or open overtime rate, as mutually agreed upon by the contracting parties."
Items C and D of the Standard Terms and Conditions will now become items D and E, respectively.
