[ ERB RESOLUTION NO. 90-15-A, November 12, 1990 ]
AMENDING ERB RESOLUTION NO. 90-15 PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATIVE AND PENAL SANCTIONS TO OFFENDERS OF THE PRESCRIBED OPERATING HOURS OF THE PETROLEUM PRODUCTS RETAIL OUTLETS
WHEREAS, ERB RESOLUTION NO. 90-15, which took effect on November 12, 1990, directed all petroleum products retail outlets to observe, subject to availability of stocks, the following operating hours:
MONDAYS THRU SATURDAYS
7:00 A.M. TO 7:00 P.M.
SUNDAYS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS
CLOSED (EXCEPT THOSE LOCATED WITHIN METRO MANILA WHICH SHOULD OPERATE FROM 8:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M.
WHEREAS, after due and deeper study, this Board has felt the need to modify the foregoing operating hours of petroleum products retail outlets for the convenience of the consuming public;
NOW, THEREFORE, this Board has resolved to amend, AS IT HEREBY AMENDS, ERB Resolution No. 90-15 by authorizing dealers/operators of petroleum products retail outlets throughout the country to observe, subject to the availability of stocks, in lieu of the above, the following operating hours:
MONDAYS THRU SATURDAYS 5:00 A.M. TO 9:00 P.M.
SUNDAYS AND PUBLIC HOLIDAYS 8:00 A.M. TO 5: P.M.
Violation of this directive shall subject the offender to the corresponding administrative/penal sanctions.
The PC/INP and local government units are hereby deputized to strictly enforce observance of the aforesaid operating hours, and prevent possible hoarding of fuel, overpricing and other industry malpractices.
Resolution No. 90-15 is hereby modified accordingly.
This amendment shall take effect immediately.
Let copies of this resolution be furnished the oil companies and the Presidents of all dealers' and association of the oil companies who are directed to disseminate the same within their respective areas of operation. Likewise, let copies of this resolution be furnished the Energy Operations Board, the Department of National Defense and the Department of Trade and Industry for their information and guidance.
