[ DA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR, November 25, 1992 ]

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE JOINT DA AO NO. 11, S. 1991 AND DOH AO NO. 105 S. 1991 RE LABELLING REQUIREMENTS ON VETERINARY DRUGS AND PRODUCTS



To carry out effectively the intents and purposes of the above cited joint DA-DOH Administrative Order regarding labelling of veterinary drugs and products, you are hereby informed of the following:

1. That from December 7, 1991 to September 30, 1992, all veterinary drug and product establishments are given this period of time to prepare and to submit to the BAI all labels for veterinary drugs and products, water solubles, and feed premixes as required under the joint DA-DOH Administrative Order;

2. That from October 1, 1992 to March 30, 1993, veterinary drugs and products should be properly labelled in accordance with the requirements.  However, remedial measures like sticks on or stamping of the required information on old labels and on old tags shall be allowed.  Any violations within this period shall be covered by the proper sanctions as stipulated in the joint Administrative Order; and

3. That from April 1, 1993 henceforth, all required labels shall be used in all veterinary drugs and products.  Remedial labels shall no longer be allowed.
