LIST OF SOCPEC COUNTRIES WITHIN THE JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINE INTERNATIONAL TRADING CORPORATION (PITC) UNDER LOI 444



As requested by the Philippine International Trading Corporation, attached herewith for your reference and guidance is a copy of PITC letter dated September 10, 1992 enclosing a list of SOCPEC countries (GATT and non-GATT members) which are still within the jurisdiction of the PITC under LOI 444.

Said list confirms the list of Socialist and centrally planned economy countries in No. 23 of Appendix 14 of Circular No. 1348 dated July 28, 1992.

A. NON-GATT MEMBERS

1. Albania
2. Burma
3. Ethiopia
4. Laos
5. Libya		 6. Mongolia 
7. North Korea
8. People's Republic of China
9. Socialist Republic of Vietnam


B. GATT MEMBERS

1. Angola
2. Mozambique		 3. Nicaragua

Applications for imports and exports to the above countries shall be coursed through PITC.
