SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS
Pursuant to Section 6 of Presidential Decree No. 1542, and in order to ensure adequate safety and protection against hazards to health, life and property as well as pollution of air, land and water from Geothermal Exploration and Operations, the hereto attached “Geothermal Safety Rules and Regulations” are hereby promulgated to govern the health and safety standards in geothermal operations in addition to the existing guidelines applicable on the matter.
Accordingly, all holders of geothermal service contracts and special operating permits are hereby enjoined to ensure the strict and faithful implementation and compliance with these Safety Rules and Regulations. Non-compliance thereof shall constitute sufficient ground for the imposition of appropriate fines/penalties defined therein.
These rules and regulations shall take effect fifteen (15) days after receipt by Geothermal Contractors/Special Operating Permit Holders of copies thereof.
