[ PRA CIRCULAR NO. 027, March 28, 1990 ]

POLICE/NBI CLEARANCE AS A PREREQUISITE FOR ISSUANCE OF SRRV



In order to preserve the integrity of the Authority and ensure security measures against undesirable aliens/prospective applicants who take advantage of the privileges under the program, the following requirement/procedure shall be observed:

1.       Six months from date hereof, all prospective applicants shall submit a Police Clearance from his country of origin duly authenticated by the Philippine Consular Office abroad before the issuance of a Special Resident Retiree Visa.

2.       Prospective applicants who have resided in the Philippines for at least six months may opt to secure an NBI Clearance immediately prior to the filing of his application.

All prospective applicants who wish to secure an NBI Clearance shall be accompanied/assisted by an authorized PRA representative at NBI, the result of which shall be taken/secured by said PRA representative.

All previous issuances/memoranda/office orders/guidelines which are in conflict or inconsistent herewith are deemed amended/modified/revised accordingly.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
