ANTI-DUMPING PROTEST AGAINST ASA METAL PRODUCTS, INC.



Quoted hereunder is the text of the letter dated December 19, 1994 of Actg. Sec. Romeo L. Bernardo, Department of Finance:

"In view of the Anti-Dumping protest filed by Filipino Pipe and Foundry Corporation against the importation of Hubless Cast Iron Soil Pipes and fittings consisting of bends, cleanouts, plugs reducers, coupling, elbows, wyes, hubs, crosses, tees, sweeps of all types and sizes by ASA Metal Products, Inc., and it appearing that a prima facie case of dumping exists so as to warrant a full investigation t hereof, your office is hereby directed not to release any pending or subsequent shipment of the above mentioned articles from Canada, a member of Canada-U.S. Free Trade Agreement, unless a bond in an amount equal to twice the estimated dutiable value thereof is given in accordance with Section 301 (e) of the Tariff and Customs Code, as amended."
