ADDITIONAL COMPENSATION GIVEN TO PERSONNEL OF OTHER AGENCIES



1.0 Section 34 of RA No. 9206 (FY 2003 General Appropriations Act) provides, among others, that the salaries, allowances, emoluments and all other benefits of personnel on detail with other agencies shall be borne by their parent agencies and in no case assigned except when authorized by law.

2.0 Moreover, Section 18 of RA No. 6758 or the Salary Standardization Law prohibits Government entities, including LGUs, GOCCs and GFIs from assessing or billing other government entities, LGUs GOCCs and GFIs for services rendered by its officials and employees as part of their regular funds for purposes of paying additional compensation to said officials and employees.

3.0 Everybody is therefore reminded to observe the abovecited provisions.

4.0 In this connection, please submit information on the benefits, allowances, honoraria per diem and other privileges granted to officials/personnel of other government agencies assigned/detailed with your agency not later than November 15, 2003.
