PROHIBITION AGAINST PRESCRIBING MORE THAN ONE (1) DANGEROUS DRUG OR DANGEROUS DRUG PREPARATION OR EXEMPT DANGEROUS DRUG PREPARATION IN A SINGLE PRESCRIPTION FORM



Pursuant to the powers vested in it under Section 36(a) and (1) of Republic Act No. 6425, as amended, the Dangerous Drugs Board hereby regulates the issuance of prescriptions for dangerous drugs or dangerous drug preparations or exempt dangerous drug preparations as follows:

SECTION 1. Prohibition — Only one (1) dangerous drug or dangerous drug preparation or exempt dangerous drug preparation shall be prescribed by an authorized practitioner in a single prescription form.

SECTION 2. Coverage — This Regulation does not cover drugs and drug preparations other than those classified as dangerous drugs or dangerous drug preparations or exempt dangerous drug preparations.

SECTION 3. Sanctions — Violations of this Regulation shall be a ground for administrative action without prejudice to criminal prosecution if warranted.

SECTION 4. Effectivity — This Regulation shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its publication in a newspaper of general circulation once a week for two (2) consecutive weeks.
