TELEVISION PROGRAMS AIRED BY CABLE TELEVISION



Pursuant to Section 3 of Presidential Decree 1986 and Section 17, Chapter V of the Board's implementing rules and regulations, please be advised that effective immediately all television programs aired by cable television shall be applied with this Board for review and approval before they are aired or broadcast.

Failure to comply with this requirement of prior review tantamounts to exhibiting materials or TV broadcast without the appropriate Permit to Exhibit issued by this Board.  The violators shall be administratively penalized with a fine or closure of the establishment and without prejudice to the filing of appropriate criminal charges for the continuous violation of P.D. 1986 and its implementing rules and regulations.

For this purpose, the Board shall require the applicant cable station, and the producer/distributors to register with the Board per Section 20, Chapter VI of the Board's implementing rules and regulations.

All circulars and memoranda issued by this Board inconsistent with this Circular is deemed revoked and repealed.

Please be guided accordingly.
