[ LTO MEMORANDUM, September 09, 1999 ]
NEW PROCEDURE IN THE DRIVING SCHOOL AND DRIVING SCHOOL INSTRUCTOR ACCREDITATION SYSTEM
In line with the Road Safety Project of the DOTC/LTO which aims to improve the status of the driving schools and per memorandum issued last 12 October 1998 which states that "supervision and accreditation of the driving schools in Metro Manila shall be undertaken by the LTO Sectoral Office", the following procedure shall be followed, to wit:
1. New applications from the Regional Offices except NCR shall be forwarded to the Road Safety Task Force (RSTFF), Operations Division who will serve as the Secretariat of the Committee. The application shall include the inspection report conducted by the authorized personnel from the Regional Office concerned.
2. New/Renewal applications from Metro Manila shall be filed at the Road Safety Task Force composed of Ms. Editha S. Lao, Chairman, Ms. Myrna C. Cabrera and Racy Aurelio Valencia, Vice Chairmen. All applications, whether new or renewal will be subjected for inspection.
3. Only members of the accreditation committee will be allowed to conduct inspection.
4. Releasing of accreditation certificates will be at the Road Safety Task Force, Operations Division.
All orders, memoranda and issuances inconsistent with this memorandum are hereby repealed, superseded or modified accordingly.
