[ PRC BOARD OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING RESOLUTION NO. 15, S. 1994, July 25, 1994 ]
AMENDMENTS OF PAR. 21, ART II OF THE RULES AND REGULATIONS GOVERNING THE EXAMINATION, REGISTRATION, AND PRACTICE OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING
WHEREAS, Sec. ll (e), Art. II of the "Rules and Regulations Governing the Examination, Registration, and Practice of Mechanical Engineering" states that the Board shall issue a certificate of compliance to commercial and industrial firms or projects employing registered mechanical engineers upon compliance with the requirements set forth in the same Section 11 and that such firms and establishments shall renew said certificate annually; and
WHEREAS, the annual renewal of the certificate is not practically sound; henceforth, not beneficial to both the Board and the Commission and the said establishments;
NOW, THEREFORE, by virtue of its quasi-legislative (rule-making) power under Sec. 9, CA No. 294, as amended,: the "Mechanical Engineering Law", the Board hereby RESOLVED, as it now so RESOLVES, to amend the pertinent portion of Sec. 11{2), Art. II of the Rules and Regulations Governing the Examination, Registration and Practice of Mechanical Engineering", which shall now state as follows: "2. x x x It shall also be the duty of such firms or establishments to renew said certificate (annually) EVERY AFTER THREE (3) YEARS x x x"
FURTHER RESOLVED, after approval hereof by the Commission, to publish this resolution in the Official Gazette or any newspapers of general circulation, whichever is earlier, for its effectivity after fifteen (15) days following Its date of such publication.
Adopted: 25 July 1994
