AUTHORITY TO CONDUCT 24/7 OPERATION
In the exigency of the service, the Advance Science and Technology Institute (ASTI) is hereby directed to conduct 24-hour/7-day a week operation of its critical infrastructure necessary in the performance of the disaster preparedness and warning functions of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) and the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). ASTI opeates, maintains and ensures the continuous availability of its networking services, computing facilities, and applications and decision support system which the aforementioned Agencies required to come up with forecasts and warnings on the occurrence of natural calamities.
This Order shall apply to areas of ASTI’s operation relevant to the above-mentioned functions. The payment of personal services including night differential and overtime services is hereby authorized and shall be charged against ASTI-GAA subject to pertinent accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
This Order shall take effect immediately and shall remain in force until revoked by the proper authority.
