[ OP EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 830, August 25, 2009 ]

DIRECTING THE BUREAU OF IMMIGRATION AND DEPORTATION, PHILIPPINE NATIONAL POLICE, BUREAU OF CUSTOMS AND DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH IN COORDINATION WITH THE CIVIL AVIATION AUTHORITY OF THE PHILIPPINES FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PERMANENT OFFICES AND PERSONNEL COMPLEMENT AT THE KALIBO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT



WHEREAS, The thrust of the National Government is to promote and develop the full potential of Kalibo and the adjacent areas as international tourist destination;

WHEREAS, The Kalibo International Airport and its navigational facilities were improved and upgraded in accordance with international standards as a preparation for its categorization as the country’s another international gateway;

WHEREAS, To support the foregoing, it is imperative that necessary offices/facilities and permanent personnel must be established at Kalibo International Airport;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, hereby order and direct:

SECTION 1. Coverage - The Bureau of Immigration and Deportation, Philippine National Police, Bureau of Customs and Department of Health in coordination with the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines shall establish permanent offices with sufficient personnel complement at the Kalibo International Airport.

SECTION 2. Implementation Period - The establishment of permanent offices and complement of the herein named agencies at the Kalibo International Airport must be completed not later than forty five (45) calendar days from the date of signing of this Order.

SECTION 3. Provision of Space and Accessibility - The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines shall be responsible for the provision of adequate space for the establishment of permanent offices and accessibility of the personnel of the herein named agencies.

SECTION 4. Cost - Expenses incurred for the establishment and maintenance of the permanent offices, the salary of the permanent employees stationed at the Kalibo International Airport and utilities shall be borne by the individual/concerned agencies.

SECTION 5. Effectivity - This Executive Order shall take effect immediately.
