(NAR) VOL. 16 NO. 3 / JULY - SEPTEMBER 2005

[ LTO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 641-2005, July 21, 2005 ]

ADDITIONAL SYMBOLS FOR TRUCK MODELS OF ISUZU PHILIPPINES CORPORATION (IPC)

The Isuzu Philippines Corporation requested for additional symbols for their truck models such as NHR, NKR, NPR, NQR and other related models. This had been granted by the Philippine National Police - Traffic Management Group (PNP-TMG) to eliminate duplication of engine numbers because their engines are being sourced from Japan but were serially numbered in duplication of the other previously manufactured inasmuch as it is the practice in Japan that motor engine numbers can be duplicated after ten (10) years.

In view hereof, the changes proposed by IPC, consented and allowed by the PNP-TMG, wherein the secret stamping of last two (2) digits of the chassis numbers where the particular engine will be mounted, will be used for registration purposes. Attached is a copy of the Memorandum of PNP-TMG* dated 01 July 2005 for reference.

Please be guided accordingly.

Adopted: 21 July 2005
