[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 91-006, May 15, 1991 ]

AMENDING MC NO. 90-003, REQUIRING DISPLAY OF IDENTIFICATION CARDS IN ALL PUBLIC LAND TRANSPORTATION SERVICES



Cognizant of the economic difficulties the public land transportation industry is presently experiencing and in view of the representations made by various operators and drivers, the paragraph stipulating the penalty for violations of Memorandum Circular No. 90-003, dated 05 February 1990, directing all public land transportation services to display an identification card containing specific information in a conspicuous place inside the vehicle is hereby amended to read as follows:
"A penalty of Twenty (P20.00) PESOS shall be imposed in addition to suspension for three (3) months of the driver’s license for violations of this Memorandum Circular. Likewise, the operator’s franchise shall be suspended and/or revoked, after due process."
This Memorandum Circular takes effect immediately and supersedes any provision of any existing Memorandum Circular or Board rule or regulation which may be inconsistent with the same.
