PLACING THE NATIONAL REINTEGRATION CENTER FOR OVERSEAS FILIPINO WORKERS UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF THE OVERSEAS WORKERS WELFARE ADMINISTRATION



In the interest of the service and in view of the need to harmonize the programs and services of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on the reintegration of returning Overseas Filipino workers (OFWs), it is deemed appropriate, as it is hereby ordered, to place the National Reintegration Center for Overseas Filipino Workers (NRCO) under the supervision of the Office of the Administrator, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), which is the principal agency of the DOLE mandated to promote the social welfare of OFWs. The move is to ensure an integrated program that will better respond to the varied reintegration needs of OFWs and their families.
 
The OWWA, together with the NRCO, shall develop the new organizational and functional structure that will further enhance and strengthen the service delivery system for the program beneficiaries. They are further tasked to develop the operational guidelines within fifteen (15) days from the signing of this Order.

All issuances inconsistent with this Order are deemed repealed. This Order shall take effect immediately.
