RESOLUTION NO. R-558 - AMENDING ART. III OF THE MODEL ZONING ORDINANCE OF 1983 (DEFINITION OF TRANSITION ZONE)



The definition of a TRANSITION ZONE which is hereby incorporated in the list of definitions under Art. III of the Revised Model Zoning Ordinance s. 1983 pursuant to the subject Resolution which was approved on 10 October 1994, amends said Ordinance which was approved under Resolution R-168 s. 1983 and issued as HSRC Memorandum Circular No. 56 s. 1985.

The complete text of the subject Resolution is as follows:

AMENDING ART. III OF THE MODEL ZONING ORDINANCE OF 1983

WHEREAS, the Department of Agrarian Reform has requested the Board to define the term "Transition Zone" which was used in the Zoning Ordinance of Naga approved by the HLRB Board on Sept. 21, 1978;

WHEREAS, Transition Zone is not among the land use classification categories in the Model Zoning Ordinance which was approved by the Board;

WHEREAS, be it RESOLVED as it is hereby resolved to include the following definition in Art. III of the Model Zoning Ordinance as follows:

"Article III
Definition of Terms

48. TRANSITION ZONE - SHALL MEAN A NON-BUILT-UP AREA, WHETHER AGRICULTURAL OR OTHERWISE, WHICH HAS ALREADY BEEN ZONED AS URBAN AND IS INTENDED TO BE DEVELOPED FOR URBAN USE WITHIN THE PLANNING PERIOD SPECIFIED IN THE APPROVED DEVELOPMENT PLAN."
