[ BOC MEMORANDUM, November 04, 1999 ]

LIST OF ABANDONED AND OVERSTAYING CARGOES

The Bureau aims to dispose some of the overstaying containers of imported articles which have accumulated from previous customs administration and at the same time to tap them as an additional sources of customs revenue.

To insure that we will be able to maximize the volume or quantity of articles to be auctioned, you are therefore required to submit or furnish this Office (thru the Director, Port Operations Service) the list and quantities of forfeited or seized articles in your district for inclusion in the Mega Auction Sale not later than November 15, 1999. Priority must be given to perishable items, such as: sugar, rice, canned goods, etc.

For compliance.
