DISCREPANCY IN THE ARABIC TRANSLATION OF THE WORKERS PERSONAL DETAILS AND TRANSLATION STAMP PROCESSED AT THE OFFICE OF THE MUSLIM AFFAIRS (OMA)



In view of the reported incidents wherein OFWs were reportedly held at foreign airports from taking their connecting flights due to discrepancy in the Arabic translation of the worker’s personal details and translation stamp processed at the Office of the Muslim Affairs (OMA), agencies are enjoined to ensure that translation stamps obtained from OMA conform to airline requirements to avoid similar incidents and facilitate the smooth travel of workers to their jobsites.
