[ PPC PHILPOST ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 11-01, January 19, 2011 ]

NEW POSTAGE RATE FOR INTERNATIONAL EXPRESS MAIL SERVICE



As approved by the Board of Directors, the postage rate for International Express Mail items addressed/destined for delivery to foreign countries is increased effective 1 February 2011, viz…

a. Single postage rate schedule shall apply to both EMS document and EMS merchandise in the case of Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, etc.

b. While separate postage rate schedule rate shall apply to EMS document and EMS merchandise in the case of Austria, Brazil, Brunei Darussalam, etc.

c. Maximum weight shall be 30 kg. except for those countries the PhilPost has bilateral agreement for the acceptance and delivery of IEMS items weighing in excess of 30 kg like Austria, Cyprus, Denmark, etc.

d. Only IEMS items destined for countries included in the schedule shall be accepted for posting. At present, PhilPost has EMS exchanges with 56 countries.

Attached is the new schedule of postage rates* for IEMS, 11 pages from Australia to Yemen, for reference and guidance.

Regional Directors, Regional Operations Directors, Postal District Managers, Postmasters and other field supervisors are enjoined to inform and/or disseminate the revised rates to the mailing public.

All previous issuances concerning IEMS postage rates are hereby deemed superseded and/or modified accordingly.
