[ TESDA RESOLUTION NO. 2010-16, November 25, 2010 ]

APPROVING AND PROMULGATING THE TRAINING REGULATIONS FOR TRAINERS QUALIFICATION LEVEL I^* (TQ1) AND TRAINERS QUALIFICATION LEVEL II^* (TQII)

<DIV ALIGN=JUSTIFY>WHEREAS, Section 14 (b) of Republic Act No. 7796 mandates that TESDA shall develop and establish a national system of skills standardization, testing and certification and conduct research and development on various occupational areas in order to recommend policies, rules and regulations to effective and efficient skills standardization, testing and certification system in the country;

WHEREAS, in the 42nd Standards Setting and Systems Development TESDA Board-TESDA Secretariat Consultation Meeting on 21 December 2009, the National TVET Trainers Qualification Framework was discussed and approved for amendment;

WHEREAS, in the 74th TESDA Board Meeting on 08 April 2010, the TESDA Board approved the amendments to the Philippine TVET Trainer’s Qualification Framework (PTTQF);

WHEREAS, industry experts, partners and the Philippine Society for Training and Development (PSTD) with the technical assistance of the Qualification and Standards Office (QSO) of TESDA have made and endorsed the same for TESDA Board approval;

WHEREAS, in the 43rd Standards Setting and Systems Development-TESDA Board-TESDA Secretariat Consultation Meeting on 23 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the aforementioned Training Regulations based on the amended National TVET Trainers Qualification Framework were deliberated and favorably recommended to the EXCOM- TESDA Board for consideration;

WHEREAS, in the 74th EXCOM-TESDA Board Meeting on 24 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the EXCOM-TESDA Board Meeting on 24 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the EXCOM-TESDA Board agreed to recommend for approval the Training Regulations for Trainers Qualification I (TQI) and Trainers Qualification II (TQII);

WHEREAS, in the 76th TESDA Board Meeting on 25 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., the TESDA Board considered and approved the Training Regulations for Trainers Qualification I (TQI) and Trainers Qualification II (TQII);

NOW, THEFERFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the TESDA Board in its meeting today, 25 November 2010 at 2:00 p.m., approves and promulgates the aforementioned Training Regulations for Trainers Qualification I (TQ1) and Trainers Qualification II (TQII);

BE IT RESOLVED FINALLY, that copies of this Resolution and Training Regulations be published and disseminated to all concerned, and the same shall be effective fifteen (15) days upon publication. All programs registered under these training regulations must comply with the requirements of the aforementioned training regulations, Graduates of TVET trainers development programs covered by the aforementioned training regulation shall be required to undergo mandatory assesment under the national assessment and certification program.
