(NAR) VOL. 21 NO.1/ JANUARY - MARCH 2010

[ LTFRB MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 2010-013, March 04, 2010 ]

CONSOLIDATION OF TAXI FRANCHISES

It has been observed that most of taxi operators have multiple single unit franchises, transactions of which causes accumulations of voluminous documents resulting to clogging of the Board’s docket and records.

In view of the same, and in line with the program of this Board to streamline business processes which will ultimately reduce the volume of transactions, grantees of Certificates of Public Convenience to Operate Taxi Air-Conditioned Service with more than ten (10) units, but under different franchise/CPCs are directed file an Application for Consolidation under one franchise of at least ten (10) units and a maximum of fifty (50) units. The expiry date of the new CPC shall be the latest expiry of the CPC which were consolidated.

This Memorandum Circular amends and supersedes all issuances inconsistent herewith and shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in a newspaper of general circulation and filing of three (3) copies hereof with the UP Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated 9 October 1992.
