(NAR) VOL. 21 NO.1/ JANUARY - MARCH 2010

[ LTO MEMORANDUM, March 09, 2010 ]

PROPER REPORTING OF COLOR IN THE STOCK REPORTING SYSTEM FOR MOTOR VEHICLES/MOTORCYCLES

With the upsurge of too many colors for motor vehicles and motorcycles clogging in our database, which is not identifiable with the basic colors, and for purposes of uniformity, it shall be noted that the identifying color of a motor vehicle/motorcycle shall be the color which is most dominant in size/figure. The color that shall be reported to LTO by assemblers, manufacturers, and importers is the one that belongs to the basic colors of the color wheel in order to avoid confusion.

It is further ordered that traffic enforcers shall see to it, upon apprehension, that what should prevail is the color indicated in the Official Receipt and the decision on color identification shall be the size/figure of the color which is most dominant.

For guidance and strict compliance.
