[ NTC MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 12-09-2002, September 27, 2002 ]

REQUIRING A MINIMUM NUMBER OF STATIONS ON ALL APPLICATIONS FOR AUTHORITY TO ESTABLISH, OPERATE & MAINTAIN A NON-CARRIER TRUNKED RADIO COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK



Pursuant to Act 3846, as amended and in furtherance to Memorandum Circular No. 10-8-91, and in order to conserve and effectively manage the radio frequency spectrum, the Commission hereby imposes compliance with the minimum of sixty (60) number of stations per channel on all applications for authority to establish, operate and maintain a private trunked radio communications network, provided, that the issuance thereof of radio station license shall at all times comply with the above minimum number of stations.

This circular does not apply to networks, the operation of which involve national security, public safety and those used principally to overcome man-made or natural barriers, which shall be dealt with on a case-to-case basis.

This Circular shall take effect immediately and any other circulars, issuances or parts thereof inconsistent herewith are deemed superseded and/or amended accordingly.
