HIRING OF FILIPINO FISHERMEN
In view of the need to adopt a responsive policy with respect to the recruitment and placement of workers in Taiwan and in order to maximize our share of the said labor market and fill-up the increasing shortage of fishermen thereat, existing lead or co-agents may process the aforesaid category subject to the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. 85, Series of 1992 and upon compliance with the requirements for processing based on guidelines set for the purpose.
Manning agents shall be allowed to participate as co-agents in the Special Hiring Program for Taiwan subject to the criteria for selection set by DOLE/POEA.
The lead and co-agent shall execute a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) defining their relationship and same shall be submitted to the POEA prior to the filling of agency's request for accreditation of principal.
This Order shall take effect March 1, 1993.
