LIST OF TRAFFIC VIOLATIONS WITH CORRESPONDING PENALTIES ISSUED BY SAUDI TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT



The Philippine Embassy in Riyadh communicated a copy of the list of traffic violations with the corresponding punishment being imposed by the Saudi Traffic Department.

The Traffic Department issued the list with a stem warning in its bid to cut the rising number of road accidents imposing tough punishment on violators of traffic rules as follows:

Said Department also announced that the use of safety belts will be mandatory on all vehicle riders effective from the first of Ramadan, corresponding to December 9, 1999.

Accredited PDOS entities and licensed agencies deploying workers to Saudi Arabia especially drivers are enjoined to disseminate this information during the seminar and supplemental briefing.
