(NAR) VOL. 16 NO. 2 / APRIL - JUNE 2005

[ LTO MEMORANDUM, June 14, 2005 ]

IMPOUNDING OF MOTOR VEHICLES AT THE QUEZON AVENUE IMPOUNDING AREA

It has been observed that the intensified campaign against Colorum vehicles as well as violators of LTO laws, rules and regulations has caused the clogging of impounded motor vehicles at the LTO Central Office thus occupying parking areas assigned to be used by the transacting public. This has caused congestion inside the LTO compound thus making it imperative that an alternative site be utilized exclusively for the use of our enforcers as an impounding area.

In view of the foregoing considerations, you are hereby directed to henceforth utilize the Quezon Avenue Impounding Area as the exclusive depository of all impounded motor vehicles with the exception of impounded brand new motor vehicles which will still be impounded at the Central Office Impounding Area. You are further directed to detach both the front and rear plates of impounded motor vehicles and surrender them to the plate custodian for safekeeping to prevent pilferage and any untoward incident involving stolen plates of motor vehicles.

For strict compliance.

Adopted: 14 June 2005
