[ DOH ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2008-0002, January 15, 2008 ]
POSTING OF SCHEDULE OF FEES FOR LABORATORY AND OTHER DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES OF HOSPITALS AND OTHER HEALTH FACILITIES
To ensure that the general public, particularly indigent patients and senior citizens, is informed about the cost of laboratory and other diagnostic services being offered by health facilities, the current schedule of fees for such services shall be posted in a conspicuous place within the health facility. This shall be required for all hospitals and other health facilities regulated by the Department of Health as part of the licensing or accreditation requirements.
Provisions from previous issuances that are inconsistent or contrary to the provisions of this Order are hereby rescinded and modified accordingly.
In the event that any provision or part of this Order be declared unauthorized or rendered invalid by any court of law or component authority, those provisions not affected by such declaration shall remain valid and effective.
This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its approval and publication in the official gazette or newspaper of general circulation.
