[ POEA MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 24, s. 1993, June 22, 1993 ]

ENTRANCE FEE OF FIFTY PESOS (P50.00) FOR EVERY NON-PASSENGER AT DUTY FREE PHILIPPINES



Based on Executive Order No. 68 dated 17 March 1993, the Philippine Tourism Authority has been authorized to collect an entrance fee of Fifty Pesos (P50.00) for every non-passenger who enters over-the-counter stores and shops being operated by Duty Free Philippines (Fiesta Shopping Center, Cebu City store and Paskuhan Village outlet in San Fernando, Pampanga).

According to said directive, the new entrance fee collection is meant to generate additional revenue to help finance the government's economic recovery and development programs and projects.

All licensed agencies, industry associations and PDOS entities are requested to help disseminate this information to this OCWs and their kins.
