[ NTC (DTC) MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 7-3-93, March 04, 1993 ]

SUBMISSION BY APPLICANTS FOR RADIO AND TV BROADCAST STATIONS WITH A COPY OF THEIR NEW FRANCHISE IN THEIR RESPECTIVE CPC APPLICATIONS



The Commission is now in the process of evaluating broadcast applications for certificates of public convenience (cpc) to install, operate, and maintain either radio or television broadcast stations throughout the Philippines.  The resolution of the same were held in abeyance in view of the cancellation of all franchises pursuant to P.D. 576-A.

Since Congress has passed a number of new legislative franchises, the Commission directs all applicants, to submit within a period of thirty (30) days from date of effectivity of this Circular, by way of a Motion a copy of their new franchises, with a prayer for the final resolution of their submitted application/s (please cite the Case Nos. under which these were docketed).

It is also required that proof of compliance with the publication of their franchises be submitted to the Commission.

Further, it is required that a CPCN applicant who is already a grantee of a temporary permit from NTC must submit an affidavit under oath that its station has already been constructed and/or the same is operational and is faithfully complying with the standards set by the Commission.

Strict compliance with this Memorandum shall facilitate action on your pending submitted applications.

This Memorandum Circular shall be published in one (1) newspaper of general circulation in the Philippines and shall take effect thirty (30) days from its publication.
