FULL IMPLEMENTATION OF MC 2003-020 WITH SUPPLEMENT



The Board in line with the program of the President for effective monitoring and improve revenue collection has resolved to proceed with the full implementation of Memorandum Circular 2003-020, RE: DIRECTIVE FOR A UNIFORM PERTINENT DATA PRINTED ON THE RECEIPT OF TAXI METER, effective January 1, 2006. Taxi meters of the unit should now be placed on top of the dashboard with the receipt issuing facility for easy visual access to the passenger as to the fare rate. All issuing receipt meters must be registered with Bureau of Internal Revenue.

All grantees of Certificates of Public Convenience to operate Taxi Air-Conditioned Service are hereby ordered to strictly comply with this Memorandum Circular, otherwise, the following scale of penalties shall be imposed:

    1. First Offense - P1,500.00
      2. Second Offense - Suspension of CPC for 30 days
      3. Third Offense - Cancellation of CPC

This Memorandum Circular supersedes any and all issuances inconsistent herewith.

This Order shall take effect fifteen (15) days following its publication in the Official Gazette or in newspaper of general circulation or the filing of the three (3) copies hereof with the University of the Philippines Law Center pursuant to Presidential Memorandum Circular No. 11 dated 09 October 1992
