(NAR) VOL. 16 NO. 4 / OCTOBER - DECEMBER 2005

[ LTO MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 653-2005, October 11, 2005 ]

CLARIFICATION OF MC NO. 525-2004 RE: PROCESSING OF NEW REGISTRATION OF MOTOR VEHICLES BASED ON MANUALLY ENCODED CONFIRMATION OF STOCK REPORTED ISSUED BY THE MAIDRS OF THE CENTRAL OFFICE AND THE REGIONAL OFFICES

The issuance of computer generated Certificate of Stock Reported (CSR) was put on hold from July 1, 2004 to February 14, 2005 because of the issue on the collection of the IT fee. In view hereof, the manually prepared CSR were issued to manufacturers, assemblers and importers in lieu of the computer generated CSR by the Registration Section-Central Office and the Regional Offices.

It has been observed that some regional offices verify/authenticate sales invoices in the absence of the stock reports. Henceforth, all sales invoices with CSR (manually prepared) shall be verified/authenticated by the Registration Section Central Office or Regional Office concerned which issued the manually prepared CSR.

It is also reiterated that no new registration should be processed by the District Offices unless the Sales Invoices and the Certificates of Stocks Reported are duly verified and authenticated by the Registration Section or the Regional Office that issued the manually prepared CSR.

For strict compliance.
